Organisation Page: Public Profile, Events and Branding

Customise your public Seaty organisation page: showcase events, branding, awards, personnel, and a mailing list signup to win bookings from new customers.

Overview

The organisation page is your public-facing marketing presence on Seaty. Anyone can view this page without logging in, making it your primary way to showcase your organisation to potential customers.

At its simplest, the organisation page answers one question: Where can people learn about my organisation and find my events?

The page uses a tabbed hub layout, with each section organised into its own tab for easy navigation.

Who uses this: Organisers with admin permissions can customise the page; anyone can view it.

Key capabilities:

  • Showcase your organisation with logo, description, and contact details
  • Display all upcoming events and tours in a dedicated "What's on" tab
  • Highlight awards and achievements
  • Feature personnel groups (cast, crew, staff)
  • Allow visitors to subscribe to your mailing list
  • Share location, directions, and accessibility information
  • Provide FAQs for common questions
  • Manage admin and member files (with Dropbox integration)
  • Apply custom theme styling to match your brand

How It Works

At a glance: Set up your organisation details once, and Seaty automatically creates a public page that showcases your events and information to customers.

1. Configure Your Organisation

In your organisation settings, add your logo, description, contact details, awards, and personnel. This information forms the foundation of your public page.

2. Your Page Goes Live

Once your organisation is created, your page is immediately accessible at a unique URL based on your organisation tag. Customers can visit this page at any time.

3. Events Appear Automatically

When you create events and make them public, they automatically appear on your organisation page. You don't need to manually add them - the page stays up to date as you create new events.

4. Customers Discover You

Visitors can find your page through direct links you share, by searching on Seaty, or by clicking your organisation name from any of your event pages.

Think of it this way:

  • Organisation settings control what information appears on your page
  • The organisation page displays that information publicly
  • Events automatically appear when they're set to public
  • Customers can always find you at your unique URL

Page URL Structure

Your organisation page is accessible at:

https://www.seaty.co.uk/Organisation/[YourOrganisationTag]

Example: If your organisation tag is royaltheatre, your page would be:

https://www.seaty.co.uk/Organisation/royaltheatre

The organisation tag is set when you create your organisation and acts as your unique identifier.

Why use a tag instead of a name? Tags create short, memorable URLs that are easy to share in marketing materials and don't break if you update your organisation name later.

What Appears on Your Page

The page is organised into tabs. Some tabs are always visible, while others appear only when relevant content or permissions are available.

About Tab (Always Visible)

The About tab is the default landing tab and contains your core organisation information:

  • Organisation name: Shown as the page title
  • Description: Rich text description of your organisation (supports formatted text and images)
  • Awards: Visual display of awards with dates and descriptions, shown with trophy icons
  • Contact buttons: Website, email, and phone displayed as icon buttons (email copies to clipboard on click; phone calls on mobile or copies to clipboard on desktop)
  • Upcoming events: Current and upcoming events grouped by tour, with combined date ranges (visitors can switch to the "What's on" tab to browse dates). When a tour groups two or more events together, the tile shows a Choose your option picker strip with a button for each event in the tour, letting visitors jump straight to the booking page for a specific date or bundle
  • Mailing list subscription: If enabled, logged-in users can subscribe directly with a single button click; visitors without an account are prompted to sign up for Seaty first
  • Personnel groups: If configured (such as cast, crew, or staff), these appear showing group name, individual personnel cards with photos, and names and roles for each person
  • QR code: Visible to organisers and members for sharing your page
  • Member zone: If a customer is logged in as a member, they see a member zone with access to files, schedules, and other member resources

What's On Tab (Always Visible)

A dedicated tab for browsing your full list of upcoming events:

  • All current and upcoming events (excluding private events)
  • Events are grouped by tour if applicable. When a tour contains two or more events, the grouped tile shows a Choose your option picker strip — one button per event, each linking straight to that event's booking page. Clicking the rest of the tile still opens the tour's own "What's on" page
  • Events shown up to 3 days after their final date
  • Event cards with basic information and links to event pages
  • Past dates toggle to show or hide elapsed events

Find Us Tab (Conditional)

This tab appears only if your organisation has location data configured (venue name, street address, or map enabled with coordinates):

  • Venue address
  • Interactive map viewer with an "Open in Google Maps" link
  • Directions information
  • Parking details
  • Accessibility information

Files Tab (Conditional)

This tab appears only for admins and members when Dropbox is connected to your organisation. It provides two views switchable via a toggle:

  • Files view: Admin files and member files displayed side by side
  • Activity Log view: Audit log showing file activity (visible to admins with permissions)

FAQ Tab (Conditional)

This tab appears only if you have configured FAQs in your organisation settings:

  • Expandable FAQ items
  • Rich text answers with formatting support

Help Tab (Always Visible)

A dedicated tab with structured support sections:

  • Tickets, orders & refunds: Organisation contact details and relevant documentation links
  • Finding & accessing your tickets: Links to attendee documentation
  • Technical issues with Seaty: Seaty support email and platform documentation links

Admin Tab (Conditional)

This tab appears for users with any permissions for the organisation:

  • Admin panel with management sections for your organisation
  • Resources section with links to relevant documentation and guides

Viewing Your Page

As an Admin

When you're logged in and have permissions for the organisation:

  1. Navigate to your organisation in the admin dashboard
  2. The organisation page appears in the Management section of your admin menu
  3. Click "Organisation page" to view your public page
  4. The page displays within the admin interface, allowing you to see it as your customers do

As a Customer

Customers can find your organisation page by:

  • Following direct links you share
  • Searching for events on Seaty
  • Clicking on your organisation name from an event page
  • Being redirected from your organisation tag URL

Customisation Options

The organisation page uses information from your Edit organisation settings:

Branding

  • Logo - Upload your organisation logo in Edit organisation
  • Theme - If enabled, your custom theme (colours, background) applies to the organisation page
  • Theme toggle - You can disable the theme for the organisation page in organisation settings

Content

  • Description: Edit your organisation description in Edit organisation (appears in About tab)
  • Awards: Add, edit, or remove awards in organisation settings (appears in About tab)
  • Personnel: Manage personnel groups and individual personnel in organisation settings (appears in About tab)
  • Box office details: Update contact information in organisation settings (appears in About tab as icon buttons)
  • Website URL: Add or update your external website link (appears in About tab)
  • Location and venue: Add address, directions, parking, and accessibility info (appears in Find us tab)
  • FAQs: Configure frequently asked questions (appears in FAQ tab)

Events

The events shown in the What's on tab are controlled by:

  • Event visibility settings (private events are hidden)
  • Event online sales dates (events appear when sales go live)
  • Event dates (past events remain visible up to 3 days after their final date)
  • Tour grouping (tour events are automatically grouped together and display combined date ranges)

Member Features

If your organisation has memberships enabled:

  • Members see a special indicator when viewing your page
  • Their member status is recognised automatically when logged in
  • Member-only content may be displayed differently

Advertising Integration

If you've added a Facebook tracking ID in your organisation settings, the page automatically tracks visits to help with your advertising campaigns.

Social Media Sharing

Your organisation page is optimised for sharing on social media:

  • QR Code: Organisers and members can generate a QR code from the About tab for use in printed materials
  • Social preview: When someone shares your page on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, it displays your organisation logo and the page title as #[organisationTag] (e.g., #royaltheatre)
  • Search visibility: Search engines can find and index your page

This ensures your organisation page looks professional when shared on social media platforms.

How the Page Displays

Tabbed Navigation

The page uses a tabbed layout where each section is accessed through its own tab. Visitors click between tabs to navigate rather than scrolling through a single long page. Some tabs only appear when relevant content exists or when the visitor has the required permissions.

Admin vs Public View

The page automatically adjusts based on who is viewing:

  • With permissions: You see all tabs including the Admin tab, within the admin interface with full navigation
  • Without permissions: Visitors see public tabs only (About, What's on, Find us, FAQ, Help) with standard header and footer

Theme Application

Custom themes appear on your page when:

  • You have configured a theme in organisation settings
  • Your theme has a custom background image
  • You haven't disabled the theme for this page

Why does the theme need a custom background? This ensures your page looks intentionally styled rather than accidentally using default settings.

Which Events Appear

Events in the What's on tab (and on the About tab) are automatically filtered to show:

  • Public events only (private events are hidden)
  • Events with dates in the future, or up to 3 days in the past
  • Events sorted by start date (earliest first)
  • Tour events grouped together with combined date ranges

The About tab shows upcoming events grouped by tour. The What's on tab shows all events with a past dates toggle.

Common Questions

Page Visibility

Can I make my organisation page private? No, organisation pages are always public. This is by design - the page exists to help customers find and learn about you. If you need to hide your organisation temporarily, contact support.

Why can't customers see my event on the page? Events only appear in the What's on tab if they are set to public and online sales have started. Check your event visibility and sales date settings.

Customisation

Can I change my organisation tag after creating it? No, the organisation tag is permanent once set. Choose carefully when creating your organisation.

Why isn't my theme showing on the page? Your theme needs a custom background image to appear. Check your theme settings and ensure you've uploaded a background that differs from the default.

Events Display

How long do past events stay visible? Events remain in the What's on tab up to 3 days after their final date, then disappear automatically.

Can I choose which events appear on my page? You control visibility through each event's settings. Set events to private if you don't want them in the What's on tab.

Why can't I see the Find us tab? The Find us tab only appears if your organisation has a venue name, street address, or a map enabled with coordinates. Add this information in your organisation settings.

Why can't I see the Files tab? The Files tab is only visible to admins and members when Dropbox is connected to your organisation.

Why can't I see the FAQ tab? The FAQ tab only appears if you have configured FAQs in your organisation settings. Add FAQs to enable this tab.

What do customers see when I put multiple events under one tour? The tour's events collapse into a single tile on your organisation page. That tile shows a Choose your option picker strip with one button per event in the tour. Each button takes the customer straight to the booking page for that specific event, and clicking the rest of the tile opens the tour's own page where all the dates are listed together. This gives customers a clean "pick a day, or pick the bundle" entry point without cluttering your organisation page with several separate tiles. The picker only appears when a tour has two or more events — a tour with a single event is shown as a normal tile.

Do I need to switch the picker on? No. The picker appears automatically whenever a tour groups two or more events that are eligible to display on your organisation page. There is nothing to configure — simply attach the events to the same tour and the picker will appear. See Tours for how to group events under a tour.
