Event Dates
Multi-date events need a way to view each performance separately, check how sales are progressing, and quickly start scanning for a specific showing. The event dates screen provides this central view for all your performances.
At its simplest, event dates answers one question: How is each performance doing and which one am I working with right now?
Who uses this: Event administrators and staff with EventSummary permission.
Key capabilities:
- View all performances in chronological order
- Check sales statistics for each date (revenue, tickets sold, capacity)
- Jump directly to scanning for a specific performance
- Filter past dates to focus on upcoming shows
- Share links to specific performances
How It Works
At a glance: Open the dates list, review sales across performances, then tap a date to see details or start scanning.
1. Access Your Dates
From the event details screen, tap Dates to see all performances. The list shows every scheduled date in chronological order, with sales information visible at a glance.
2. Review Performance Statistics
Each date displays its sales progress: total revenue, tickets sold versus capacity, and a percentage indicator. This helps you quickly identify which performances need attention and which are selling well.
3. Take Action
Tap any date to view its full details. From there, start scanning tickets for that specific performance or share a direct link to that showing.
Think of it this way:
- Dates list shows the big picture across all performances
- Individual date screen focuses on one specific showing
- Scan button takes you straight to door duty for that performance
Accessing Event Dates
How to access:
- Open event details screen
- Tap Dates button
- View all dates chronologically
Alternative: When starting scanning from the event screen, you'll select the specific date first.
Event Dates List
Each date shows:
- Day, date, time - "Fri 15th Mar 24 at 7:30pm" (12-hour format)
- Sales statistics (administrators only, online only):
- Total sales revenue for that date
- Tickets sold vs available (e.g., "45/100")
- Sales percentage
Note: Statistics are hidden for device accounts and when working offline.
Show/Hide Past Dates
A toggle button appears when your event has both past and future dates. By default, only future dates are shown.
How it works:
- Dates within 24 hours of ending remain visible
- Dates older than 24 hours after end time are considered "past"
Why the 24-hour grace period? This prevents day-of events from disappearing prematurely. A matinee performance shouldn't vanish from the list while door staff are still working that evening.
Event dates always display in chronological order from earliest to latest.
Note: If no dates appear, check the toggle to show hidden past dates.
Individual Date Screen
Screen title shows the selected date: "Fri 15th Mar 24 7:30pm"
Sales statistics card (when online):
- Total revenue for this date
- Tickets sold vs available capacity
- Sales percentage
Statistics appear in a swipeable card format matching the event-level design.

Individual date screen:

Full navigation works offline, but statistics require an internet connection.
Refreshing Data
Pull down on the dates list to refresh:
- Reloads all dates
- Updates sales statistics
- Recalculates sold vs available figures
Statistics also update when the event screen refreshes.
Understanding Statistics
Revenue: Sum of all ticket sales for this specific date (both seated and general admission)
Capacity: Seats sold / Total capacity (e.g., "45/100" means 45 tickets sold from 100 available)
Percentage: Sold divided by total, displayed with one decimal place (e.g., "45.0%")
Statistics update automatically as tickets are sold.

Common Questions
Viewing Dates
Why can't I see some dates? Past dates are hidden by default. Use the toggle at the top of the dates list to show past performances.
Why are statistics hidden? Statistics require an internet connection and administrator permissions. Device accounts always see simplified views without sales data.
How current are the statistics? Statistics update when you refresh the dates list or when the event screen refreshes. Pull down to get the latest figures.
Taking Action
Can I scan tickets without selecting a date first? Yes. Navigate to the specific date screen and tap Scan to bypass the date selection step entirely.
Can I share a link to a specific performance? Yes. From the individual date screen, tap "Open in browser" to get a direct link to that showing.
Offline Use
Can I view dates offline? Yes. The dates list and individual date screens work offline if you've previously downloaded the event data. Statistics won't be visible, but navigation and scanning work normally.
Why did the Open in Browser button disappear? This button is disabled when offline since it requires an internet connection to open the website.
