My Tickets: View Your Bookings on Mobile
The My Tickets screen helps you find and access your tickets quickly, especially when you have bookings for multiple performances or dates of the same event. Rather than scrolling through a long list, tickets are organised by event date so you can jump straight to the performance you need.
At its simplest, My Tickets answers one question: Which tickets do I need for today's performance?
Who uses this: Any customer who has purchased tickets through Seaty.
Key capabilities:
- View all your tickets for an event in one place
- Find tickets grouped by performance date and time
- Access individual tickets with QR codes for venue entry
- See order details and any notes you added during purchase
How It Works
At a glance: Open an event, tap My Tickets, find your date, tap to view your tickets.
1. Access Your Tickets
From any event screen, tap "My tickets" in the event menu. The screen displays using the event's theme colours for easy identification.
2. Find Your Performance
Tickets appear grouped by date and time. Each section header shows the performance details (e.g., "Mon 15th Dec 2024 at 7:30pm") along with how many tickets you have for that date.
3. View Your Tickets
Tap any order to open the ticket carousel, where you can swipe between tickets and access QR codes for venue entry.
Think of it this way:
- Section headers group your tickets by when you're attending
- Order blocks show what you purchased in each transaction
- Ticket carousel displays the actual tickets you'll show at the door
What You'll See
If you have tickets:
- Tickets grouped by event date and time
- Section headers showing date and time
- Total ticket count per section
- Order IDs and ticket details
If you don't have tickets:
- Message indicating no tickets found
- Option to return to event screen
How Tickets Are Organised by Date
Section Headers
Tickets are grouped by event date.
Header format: "Mon 15th Dec 2024 at 7:30pm"
Section information:
- Number of orders (if more than one)
- Total number of tickets for this date
- Example: "2 Orders, 6 Tickets" or "4 Tickets" (single order)
Multiple Orders for One Date
If you have multiple orders for the same date and time:
- All orders appear under the same section header
- Each order shown separately with order ID
- Tap section header to view all tickets in carousel mode
Why group by date? When attending a multi-performance event (like a theatre run or festival), you need to find the right tickets quickly at the venue. Grouping by date means you see only what's relevant for today.
Sorting Order
Sections appear in chronological order:
- Earliest dates first
- Latest dates last
- Past events show first if viewing historical tickets
Why this order? Your next upcoming performance appears near the top, so you spend less time scrolling on event day.
Understanding Order Display
What Each Order Shows
Order ID: Displayed as "#123" before ticket details
Ticket tags: Coloured tags showing:
- Seat numbers (e.g. "A12")
- Ticket category names
- Colour-coded by seating area or ticket type
User notes: (if added during purchase) Displayed below the order tags in smaller text
How Tickets Are Sorted Within Orders
Tickets within each order are automatically sorted by:
- Group name (seating section)
- Seat name (seat number)
Why sort this way? Your tickets appear in the same order as the physical seats, making it easier to distribute tickets to your group or find your seats in the venue.
Visual Design
- Each order is a distinct tappable block
- Last order in a section has no bottom border (clean visual end)
- Colour-coded tags help quickly identify ticket types
Accessing Individual Tickets
Single Order, Single Date
If you have one order with one date:
- Tap the order block
- Carousel opens showing all tickets
- Swipe between tickets
Multiple Orders, Single Date
If you have multiple orders for one date:
- Tap section header to see all tickets for that date and time
- Or tap individual order to see just that order's tickets
Multiple Dates
If you have tickets for multiple dates:
- Each date is a separate section
- Tap orders within each section independently
- Section headers help navigate to the right performance
Member Summary
If you're a member of the event organisation (e.g. school parent, season ticket holder):
Additional information shown at top:
- Your membership status
- Summary of your bookings
- Member-specific information
Why does this appear? Members often have special access or benefits. Showing your membership status upfront confirms you're recognised and helps you understand any member-specific options available to you.
Refreshing Ticket Data
How to Refresh
Pull down on the screen to reload your tickets.
What refreshing does:
- Fetches latest ticket information from server
- Updates ticket status (scanned, cancelled, etc.)
- Syncs changes made on other devices or web
When to Refresh
Refresh when:
- You've just purchased new tickets
- Tickets were transferred or modified
- You want the latest status
- You suspect data is outdated
When Tickets Don't Appear
No Tickets Found
If you have no tickets for this event:
- Information message explains no tickets found
- Check you're signed in with correct account
- Confirm tickets weren't transferred to different email address
- Contact event organiser if tickets are missing
Network Errors
If tickets fail to load:
- Error message displays
- Tap refresh icon to retry
- Check internet connection
- Try signing out and back in
Understanding Ticket Status
Tickets may show various statuses:
Active tickets: Normal display, ready for venue entry
Scanned tickets: May show scan status in carousel view (if previously checked in)
Transferred tickets: Removed from your list (now belong to recipient)
Cancelled tickets: May appear in separate cancelled section or be hidden entirely
Order Notes
Viewing Your Notes
If you added notes during ticket purchase:
- Notes appear below the ticket tags
- Smaller text, grey colour
- Useful for remembering why you booked or who tickets are for
Example notes:
- "Birthday surprise for Emma"
- "Aisle seats requested"
- "Group booking with friends"
Character limits: Notes display fully on this screen. In compact lists elsewhere, long notes may be truncated with ellipsis.
Different Ticket Types
Events may have different ticket types:
General admission: Tickets without assigned seats
- Show ticket category name
- Category colour coding
- No seat numbers
Reserved seating: Tickets with specific seats
- Show group (section) and seat name (seat number)
- Seat category colour (e.g. "Stalls", "Circle")
- Makes finding your seat easier
Merchandise: Non-seat items (car park passes, programmes)
- Category name shown
- Grouped with tickets for that date
Note: All types can appear together in the same order.
Mobile vs Web
Mobile advantages:
- Quick access at venue
- Touch-optimised ticket selection
- Easy swiping between tickets
- Always with you on event day
Web advantages:
- Larger screen for reviewing orders
- Easier to copy ticket IDs
- Better for managing complex multi-date bookings
Note: Use mobile for event day access, use web for order review and management.
Common Questions
Accessing Tickets
Why can't I see my tickets? Pull down to refresh, then verify you're signed in with the same email address used for purchase. If the event date has passed, check "Past Events". Contact the event organiser if tickets are still missing.
Can I access tickets offline? No. You need an internet connection to load your tickets. Load them before entering a venue with poor signal.
Where do I find my order ID? The order ID appears as "#123" before the ticket details. You'll need this when contacting support or requesting order modifications.
Ticket Information
Why does my ticket show a different date than I expected? Check that you're viewing the correct event. The organiser may have changed event dates - check the event details page for current information.
What do the coloured tags mean? Tags are colour-coded by seating area or ticket type, matching the colours used in the event's seating plan. This helps you quickly identify which tickets belong to which section.
Can I see tickets I've transferred to someone else? No. Transferred tickets are removed from your list and now appear in the recipient's account.
Multiple Orders
Why are my tickets split into different sections? Tickets are grouped by performance date and time. If you purchased tickets for multiple dates, each date appears as a separate section.
I bought tickets in separate orders for the same date. Will they appear together? Yes. All orders for the same date and time appear under the same section header. Tap the section header to view all tickets for that performance, or tap individual orders to view them separately.
